MISSION STATEMENT
We recognize God’s love and grace for all people,
shown especially in Jesus Christ,
and respond to it by proclaiming to all
the Good News of God’s acts of salvation.
For that we use four areas of proclamation:
Worship: mainly for our members, but also for visitors.
All are welcome.
Learning: Sunday School and confirmation classes for children;
Bible studies for adults.
Witness: through our worship services;
also proclamation of the Word at Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals and other occasions.
Service: to all people in need, through counselling, comfort, help, but also through service groups (Friendship Circle and Ladies’ Group)who prepare and send a lot of clothing items and health kits to people in underprivileged countries.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
TLC offers Sunday Church School classes from pre-school to middle school on Sunday mornings.
During the service, the children remain in the sanctuary until the end of the children's message and then proceed to their classrooms, returning back to the service for Communion.
Classes typically run from September to mid-June, beginning with Rally Day the Sunday after Labour Day.
The children also present a Christmas pageant every December during a church service.
Confirmation classes are also available; please contact the Pastor if you are interested.
LADIES' GROUP
Friendship Circle
Meets Mondays from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm
This active group of women meet to sew and bundle kits for Canadian Lutheran World Relief.
They also sort and price items for their seasonal garage sales and annual Christmas sale. Several community organizations also benefit from their collecting of household items and clothing.
A pause for a coffee break allows for a time of prayer and concerns for members and the wider community.
Bring your lunch and come join us.
MEN'S GROUP
On the last Tuesday of each month [except summer and December] we meet for about 2 hours, at 12 noon, for songs, prayers and discussion of a theme or Bible text. In a very informal way, we begin with lunch together [each brings his own, coffee is provided] and share some of our life stories and world events. All men are welcome.
